Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Circles
Parent Support Services Society of BC offers weekly Support Circiles for grandparens who are raising grandchildren. At these free and confidential circles, grandparents come together to talk with other grandparents about the issues and challenges they face parenting their grandchildren. Grandparents also get valuable information, resources and tools from the facilitators and presenters from the community. Some issues covered during the circles: grandparent-parent relationship, financial concerns, health issues of the grandchild and the grandparent, retirement plans, legal and custody concerns and changes in the grandparent's social life.
